Begining in September of 2018, and ending in February of 2019, the MAHL Board of Directors engaged in a process to develop a plan to ensure Midland area youths enjoy the opportunity to play hockey now and in the future. As a part of this plan, approximately 900 MAHL members were asked to participate in a league-wide survey, including parents, coaches, and sponsors. Each survey was reviewed, and after many months of work, we are proud to unveil the Midland Amateur Hockey League Strategic Plan. Work to achieve many of the highest priorities has already commenced.
Dear MAHL Members,
As part of our plan to enhance our coach's ability to educate our hockey players, the MAHL is applying for a substantial grant to fund coaching equipment we can't currently provide. Such equipment includes elastic speed trainers, improved shooter tutors, ice surface markers, training marker cones, additional ice cling rink diagrams, and specialized training pucks including white goalie pucks, 10-ounce heavy pucks, and oversized Pugi Big Pucks.
To improve our chances of an award, the MAHL is asking for your help. Please take a few minutes and submit a letter of support for us to use to encourage the grant committee.

You are more than welcome to add personal thoughts or experiences to the letter.
Our deadline is rapidly approaching. If possible, please submit your letter of support by Monday, January 28, 2019.
Thank you for your continued support as the MAHL Board works to improve our players’ hockey experience.
Chris Luty, President
MAHL President Chris Luty has announced that Ms. Stacy Grillo has accepted the position of MAHL Business Manager. Ms. Grillo will be primarily responsible for the financial aspects of the MAHL.
The MAHL Board of Directors is developing a new, long-term strategy for the league. We are excited to have received a grant to help cover the cost of working with a consultant on this endeavor. As part of the strategic planning process, we are collecting feedback from all of our stakeholders.
Past and present coaches, along with member families, will receive an email from me asking them to take a survey related to the MAHL. Please take a few minutes to provide us with some valuable information on how we can continue to provide the very best programs to our MAHL families. All responses are completely confidential and email addresses are not tracked. Only an aggregate report of all of the responses will be provided to the board.
We thank you for your time and effort and look forward to sharing a new strategic plan with you in the future.
