Return to hockey update-July 28, 2020

MAHL families,

We know that many of you may be eager to get back to hockey and are trying to plan for the fall season; however, we still must wait until our region is moved into Phase 5 for our facility to open and begin the process towards tryouts, evaluations, and forming teams. We are hopeful for a quick return to the ice and therefore we will be opening up registration for the 20-21 season very shortly and will communicate this once it is open.

Additionally, you may have seen some on-ice activity in some rinks in other areas of the state also not moved into Phase 5 yet.  MAHA released a statement yesterday that they are aware of these rinks' activity and those facilities may face consequences and also any association that knowingly allows participation could be subject to a disciplinary hearing. We are all anxious to return to the ice but as a league we must follow the orders and guidelines set forth by the state and local authorities.

We hope you are all safe and doing well during these challenging and changing times and we look forward to when we can see you all back on the ice!

Message from the President

All MAHL Families:

The Midland Amateur Hockey League has been working hard to prepare for next season.  It is still unknown at this time when we can return.  We have been on a number of conference calls with MAHA and USA Hockey trying to figure out a plan for what the 2020/2021 season could look like.  As more unfolds over the coming weeks we will be sure to let all of you know.  We will continue to make decisions based on the safety of our families as our number one priority.

With that in mind all current restrictions remain in effect until further notice.  This includes, but is not limited to, board meetings, practice, games, and recruiting.  Again this is an ever evolving situation and we will keep you all posted on information when it becomes available.

Annual Board Meeting - Our plan will be to hopefully hold our annual in person meeting in the near future.

Please follow our Website and Facebook for updates.

Thank you all for the continued support.
